Fortnite season 5 SKINS: Official skins revealed for new Battle Pass and update 5.0

season 5 is starting today and ahead of the new Battle Pass launch Fortnite season 5 skins have been revealed.

Epic Games revealed a number of brand new skins when they posted the official patch notes today.

Skins that have been showcased include a Fortnite character wearing the Kitsune mask from the first Fortnite season 5 teaser.

Other skins include a biker girl, a military outfit, Viking outfits and a terrifying skin which has a skull face and spiky horns.

The latest Fortnite skins were revealed in patch notes that Epic Games put out for today’s Fortnite update V5.0.

More Fortnite skins will be revealed later once servers come back online and update V5.0 becomes available to download.

It remains to be seen if any of the skins that Epic Games have revealed for Fortnite season 5 will be the tier 100 reward.

It was previously rumoured that the Fortnite season 5 tier 100 reward would be linked to the infamous Flying Dutchman ghost ship.

The Fortnite season 5 skin that has been revealed so far that may fit the bill is the skull faced skin.

Could that be Fortnite’s version of the Flying Dutchman captain? Or maybe it’s Fortnite version of the pirate Davy Jones?

Alternatively, the Fortnite skin featuring the Kitsune mask could be the tier 100 reward for season 5.

The cat-like mask was front and centre of the first Fortnite season 5 teaser revealed on Monday.

At the time fans were left wondering whether it showed either a Bastet, Kitsune or Kabuki mask.

If it was a Kitsune mask then fans theorised that was important as it could hint at a time travel theme for Fortnite season 5.

In Japanese folklore, Kitsunes (the Japanese word for fox) had the ability to bend time and space.

And it looks like these fan theories could be true with the ‘Worlds Collide’ theme for Fortnite season 5.

The Fortnite patch notes revealed that “Viking ships and ancient statues” will be popping up across the Battle Royale map.

Fortnite players will also be able to jump into rifts which will take them on a “wild ride”.

The Fortnite season 5 patch notes said: Viking ships, desert outposts, and ancient statues have appeared across the island.

“Hop in an All Terrain Kart (ATK) with your squad and uncover all-new mysteries and locations that await.

“Tell me, partner…do ya feel lucky?

“Test that luck with the new Flintlock weapon set while you Challenge the Horde in the Road Trip event, now available in Save the World.

“New Season, new Battle Pass.

100 levels, over 100 new rewards.

“Available in-game right now for 950 V-Bucks.”
