The 31-year-old actress has been nominated for plenty of awards over the course of her career and her role in HBO’s hit fantasy drama Game of Thrones saw her up for an Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in 2016.
Oozing glamour in a jaw-dropping nude illusion dress for the star-studded bash, Emilia ditched Daenerys’ platinum ‘do for silky chocolate-coloured tresses.
Flaunting her enviably trim curves in the tight-fitting number, she posed for photographers on the red carpet and flashed a generous glimpse of her bosom in the low-cut ensemble.
Her dress draped to the floor in a eye-catching column style and hugged her figure to show off her tiny waist.
Behind the scenes, Emilia was her usual playful self, giving her 19 million Instagram followers a peek at her look as she revealed her excitement before the ceremony.
Filming a Boomerang clip in the back of her taxi on her way to the venue in Downtown Los Angeles, she could be seen showing fans her ultra-glamorous make-up look, complete with subtle smokey eyes and a slick of nude pink lip gloss.
Tilting her head from side to side, the sexy star wiggled her torso, jigging her assets in the revealing frock as she unveiled her cleavage and décolletage.
“EMMY EMMY EMMY EMMYYYYYSSSSS!” she captioned the upload. “Getting my FUNK ON!
“Thanks to the ever incredible team of my dreams,” the Mother of Dragons actress added, tagging her hair and make-up team.
Her fans flocked to the comments section to gush over the Game of Thrones beauty, with one proposing: “Will you marry me?”
“The cutest person I know,” another said, while a third added: “Mmm sexy woman.”
“You’re a goof ball, love that about you,” a fourth social media user chipped in, as another gushed: “Gorgeous Khaleesi.”
Although the Supporting Actress Emmy ended up being scooped by Dame Maggie Smith, 83, for her performance in Downton Abbey, Emilia appeared to be in high spirits at the awards.
Later in the evening, she was snapped giggling with her Game of Thrones co-star Gwendoline Christie, 39, when the pair cuddled up for a sweet picture.
She praised the Brienne of Tarth actress for being “the most bad*** gal in our show AND on the dance floor”(sic).
Emilia has played Daenerys in the long-running series since it first aired in 2011.
She recently wrapped filming on the final series, treating her Instagram followers to insights into a relaxing holiday she took to celebrate.
“I feel giddy and light after being suspended in a two week state of bliss sponsored sunshine,” she told them. “Who knew the end of something could bring about the start of something very good for my brain… Niente.”
She added the hashtag: “#herestothearofdoingnothing.”
Game of Thrones is set to return in 2019.
