That is the verdict of ESPN FC pundit and former Major League Soccer star Alejandro Moreno.
Express Sport understands Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has made Piatek his No 1 target for the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old has had a fine start to life at Genoa since joining from Polish outfit Cracovia in the summer.
Piatek has scored nine goals in seven Serie A games and would cost Chelsea around £40million.
The striker also scored his first goal for Poland last week in the 3-2 Nations League defeat to Portugal.
And Moreno doubts whether Genoa will be able to keep hold of him for much longer.
“It may be that Piatek has to go somewhere, simply because the goals he is scoring at Genoa, and now scoring for Poland, it may just be too much for Genoa to hang onto,” he said.
“Now, it makes sense for him to go to Chelsea because Chelsea need a striker.
“I think that Piatek is eventually going to move.
“Whether that’s Chelsea or not, I’m not so sure.
“But it’s a hit anyway.”
Piatek’s agent Szymon Pacanowski says several clubs are interested in his client but claims he is yet to receive any offers.
“Many clubs have contacted us, but there has been no formal offer,” Pacanowski told CalcioNapoli24.
“Many clubs have contacted us over the last few weeks, but I won’t name them.
“However, there has been no formal offer from any club, including Napoli.
“His value has certainly risen over the three months in Serie A, but right now we are happy to remain at Genoa.”
